Fish Pageantry 

My full name is Julia Piper but my nickname is Jules. This explains why i've always felt a strong connection with Jules Verne, the infamous writer of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. Verne and I share a similar love of the ocean. I am NAUI open water scuba certified and a two time attender of SeaCamp, a Marine Science camp located in Big Pine Key. While there I listened to a seminar about the different species of fish in the Florida Keys and was hooked. This blog is centered around the beauties of the Keys Fish. The best way to talk about these fish is through stakes similar to a pageant. The fish will be rated on standards appropriate for them. Some examples being appearance, special skills, and environmental impact then an average score will be calculated and compared at teh end to determine a Grand Supreme .
